Kin Hong – The Taco Bar Beijing – Salsa Recipe

One year ago, if you asked Kin Hong, a chef trained in classic French cuisine, if he could ever see himself opening a Mexican restaurant in China, he would’ve told you that you must be crazy. Now, he’s the proud owner of The Taco Bar in Beijing, the first of its kind. We visited Kin Hong’s establishment during its soft opening in August 2012 and tasted his mouthwatering creations, while he let’s us in on the secret of his house salsa recipe.

Stay tuned for a longer video about how this former private chef strayed from what was supposed to be a culinary trip across Asia, and wound up opening a speakeasy restaurant in a Beijing hutong, instead.

There is no real address for this place but you can find it. The easiest way to get there is by finding the Fangjia Hutong. The Bar is located in the alleyway across from Hot Cat club and Aimo Town. You should probably e-mail them for menu, hours and number before you go there:
